An LE client manufacturing specialty textiles including material for book bindings, was interested in finding a lubricant for their material inspector machine that wouldn’t fall off the gears when applied and would provide good wear protection.LE recommended the client convert to Syntemp® Synthetic Lubricant, an aerosol spray for use on smaller open gears, chains, sprockets, slides, and other applications.After trying Syntemp®, the client was pleased with the results. They found it to be easier to apply, and it stayed on better with no slinging or falling off the gears like the other lubricant. The better adhesion to the gears also allowed them to change the application interval to every two days instead of every day. In addition, no wear on the gears was observed. An LE client, one of the world’s leading producers of high-quality soda ash began experiencing pumpability problems, a high consumption rate and excessive lubricant waste while using their equipment.LE recommended the client convert to Pyroshield® Syn XHvy Open Gear Lubricant (9011). This lubricant is a 100% synthetic, high viscosity base fluid designed for open gears operating in heavy-duty service.The lubricant application is regulated using a Farval 4000 control unit with two spray nozzles. The customer is now applying two cycles every 20 minutes versus two cycles every 10 minutes with their previous lubricant. Decrease amperage with Almaplex® Ultra-syn Lubricant 1299.A large box producer, using a machine called Peters Corrugator, faced high amperage issues and expensive lubrication costs. The machine's bearings required superheated steam at 182°-193°C. To address this, they switched to Almaplex® Ultra-Syn Lubricant (1299), a synthetic grease recommended by LE. This grease reduced amperage and lubrication costs by 30%, while also solving water contamination problems on glue rolls.
