LITERALLY the bowl will be licked clean when you finish off the grape salad. I've never not had that happen. This is THE BEST Grape Salad recipe of your life! I cant wait for you to make it. It tastes like cheesecake and fresh fruit and sweet caramel with a crunch of butter pecans.
WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE CREAMY GRAPE SALAD
- grapes! obviously- we talk about these below
- cream cheese
- sour cream
- sugar
- brown sugar
- pecans
- vanilla
WHAT KIND OF GRAPES DO I NEED
Buy what is available at your grocery store just make sure the grapes are SEEDLESS!! The recipe calls for a variety of grapes, and I do highly recommend using 2-3 variety of seedless grapes. Each grape has a different taste that adds to the flavor of this salad.
I CANT FIND 2 DIFFERENT KIND OF GRAPES, CAN I JUST USE ONE?
yes! I've been there and can only buy one type of grape. It'll be totally fiiiiine when you are in a pinch like this.
WASH AND PREPARE GRAPES
the first step is to wash your grapes and remove them from the vine. Set those grapes aside while you make the cream cheese filling.
HOW TO MAKE THE BEST GRAPE SALAD RECIPE
TOPPING
In a separate bowl mix your brown sugar and pecans together
CREAMY FILLING
In a bowl add your cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Beat until it's smooth and fluffy.
NOW combine your cream cheese mixture with your washed grapes. Stir so they are combined well.
SERVING DISH
Place your grapes in its serving dish, which I should add you can totally stir it in whatever dish will be your final dish. Just depends on how fancy you're getting.
ADDING THE TOPPINGS
Add your toppings. Now here is the key to what really takes this recipe over the top. The moisture of the cream cheese mixture will start to seep into your brown sugar crust and it creates a crispy caramel flavor. SO GOOD. For this to happen you will want your grape salad to sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes up to 2 hours ( I prefer 2 hours so its nice and chilled + crust) before serving.
WHAT SIZE SERVING DISH DO I NEED FOR GRAPE SALAD?
You can use really whatever you prefer! A tall glass bowl, casserole dish or a long narrow pan - like a 8x8 or 9x13. Just keep in mind the bigger the surface area is (for long pans) the thinner the brown sugar and pecans will be, so you may want to adjust the measurements to adding more topping. And the smaller area on the top of a tall bowl the thicker the brown sugar is. But do not put less.

You can make this salad a few hours before serving. I would not make it the day before becuase the brown sugar turns too weepy. But the morning of is fine!

I sure want to try this, but I’m allergic to pecans. Do you have any suggestions or ideas for a substitution for the pecans? (We are also allergic to walnuts and almonds at our house)

You can omit the nuts and it will still be delicious. Our you could sub granola for a little crunch.
