How to make easy lime bars at home

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Add parchment paper to a 9X13 baking dish. This will make the bars super easy to remove from the pan once they are done.

To make the crust, melt the butter in the microwave in 30-second intervals until melted. Then mix in the flour, salt, and powdered sugar. Mix with a fork but don’t overmix.

Put the dough into the pan and press down flat. Bake for 22 minutes or until the edges of the crust are lightly brown.

While baking, beat the eggs in another mixing bowl.

Whisk in the lime juice and sugar until it is well mixed.

Pour the mixture into the crust as soon as it’s done baking in the oven.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Then take out of the oven, cover it with foil, and put back in the oven and bake for another 20 minutes until the middle is set.

Once the bars are done, top with powdered sugar and lime zest and let the bars cool on a wire rack.

You’re going to love the citrus flavor of this delicious recipe. It’s such a great way to have a refreshing and yummy dessert!

What is the best way to store leftover Homemade lime bars?
